Today we had a full day of activities and Timmy just never ran out of energy. In the morning we went to a pumpkin patch and a little petting zoo, then we went to brunch with Dawn, Steve & Cade. We came home & Timmy took a nap and we were on the go again. First to the park and then a bike ride, then home to the sandbox, running with the dogs, reading books and puzzles. Phew! What a day! And it started very early. Miss Grace had us up at 3:30 and we have yet to take a nap ourselves.

I love homemade decorations especially if the kids make them. If handprints or footprints are involved forget it, I’m all over it. Today we made little feet ghosts. It came out so cute, I even put a little bow on Gracie’s ghost. These kind of decorations are free and will bring us so much joy in the years to come.

Cousins!

I’ve been really bad about tummy time mostly because I don’t like to hear little Gracie cry. But today was our first Nurturing Your Newborn class and they encourage us to do tummy time 3-4 times a day even if your baby doesn’t like it. Grace really surprised me, turns out she’s very good at tummy time. Timmy went to the child care room while I had the mommy& me class with Grace, Max and Aunt Jess. Timmy had such a good time 🙂

Last night was our first sorta date night. We opened a bottle of wine and watched Bruce Almighty well… At least we tried. Timmy was up screaming about 5 minutes into date night. Grace slept the whole time and Timmy eventually fell asleep by 11:00. Still nice to have a little wine with my man 🙂

Today was Gracie’s 2 month doctor appointment. She weighs 13.5 pounds and is 24 1/4 inches. That is 67th percentile for weight and 87th for height – just perfect. I’m so used to Timmy being 95th percentile for everything.

At 2 months Grace is smiling all the time and talking in the sweetest little girl voice ever. She loves car rides so long as we don’t hit all the red lights and she is so amazed by the ceiling fan. When daddy tickles her cheek you are guaranteed a smile. She takes her morning nap in her swing from 9-12 most days and she sleeps from 10-5 most nights. Luckily daddy will rock her to sleep so mommy can rest. So far Grace has been an easy baby just like her big brother.

Have you ever seen a more beautiful baby? Not me. Sometimes I can’t believe that we made such a beautiful little girl. Most days I dress her up just to take pictures of her.

My kids are growing so fast. Grace is starting her little baby language and Timmy is starting big boy language. Today he said apple. He does puzzles all by himself. My favorite thing is when he says Thank You! It’s so sweet. I feel so special when I look at Gracie and she gives me the biggest smile. She is sleeping from 10-4 most nights and it’s just enough sleep for me. Watching them grow up is my greatest gift from God.
