A Day on the Farm

I arranged for my Mommy group friends to go to a local farm. It was so great. The kids all got a pony ride, fed the animals their breakfast and got to hold baby bunnies! We asked Daddy for a bunny but we got shot down.

We dressed the part because well why not 😁

This is as close as Grace would get.

We will probably do this every year!

A lil Christmas Baking in May

I’m trying to catch my blog up to date before I take all these photos off my phone for our New York trip!!

Sooooo way back in May we had a little Christmas spirit and we baked cookies and sipped some hot chocolate.

Sweet Memories

When your three year old is playing Legos and says look mom I built a church. 💗 pretty sure that is God winking at me and saying you’re doing an ok job.

Everything and anything princess related that Grace sees in the store she screams “Mommy that’s Gracies” or “That’s my’s!”

I was dressing Timmy in his room and he looks at the wall and yells, “Stop clocking!” 😳 I’m like Umm Timmy what are you talking about and to who lol. He explains to me that the walls sometimes make a ticking sound like a clock and he doesn’t like it. Alllllllrighty.

“Mommy I very want to go on a Disney cruise!!” I started to not like commercials. Every time he sees something he wants it.

 Praying hands 😍

Stop. Growing.

Grace just put herself on the swing. I guess she must have gotten a little taller today. She also went poopy on the potty.

I should be celebrating and I am but man is it a wake up call that she is not a baby anymore and hasn’t been for a while now.

Tim said last night that we have to have another baby for Gracies sake 😉.  She swaddled this baby all by herself.

Backyard Happenings

“Ok Grace call me Hook and you be Smead ok?” Jake and the Neverland pirates is big again in this house.

That measuring cup is his paddle for the boat.

Don’t tell Grace but that bug is already dead.

I’m getting really good a bug catching these days. Add that to my resume.

She really was born to be a mommy. You’ll never catch her without her kids.

Grace says she’s an airplane.

And this cute boy who is getting big way too fast.

Timmy Talk

“Mom do bugs have smily faces?” Sure.

“Mom I need to go outside and cut all the grass so that Santa Clause will come.” Sorry Timmy it’s May and those are pretend scissors. 😂

Talking to a bug..

“Hey mommy love bug do you want to come home and find your daddy and your boy and your sister? Do you want to go in my house?”

“Mom, mommy love bug doesn’t talk, she won’t answer me.”

“Where’s this freakin puzzle piece go?” Timmy! We don’t say freakin. “But mom I don’t know where this freakin piece goes that’s why we say freakin.” Hmm.

“Sorry mom this is not for adults, only for kids.”

“Guess what mom it’s my birthday!” Timmy your birthday isn’t until December. “No mom it’s today and if you don’t start making the cake now you will miss it.”

Timmy why are you wearing fairy wings? “If I catch the wind right I will fly mommy.”

“Do birds like grass?” No they eat worms and lizards. “No they don’t mom! That’s disgusting! Only moths eat that.” – I’m learning so much over here lol

At Disney…on the people mover ride…arms wide…  “Look mom, the WHOLE kingdom!”

I love this kid!

Funkville

Ya heard of it? It’s a real place people!

Funkville, where the skies are gray and the kids are always crying. The bills are piled high while you’re counting pennies. You’re usually on a diet and eating a donut. It’s really a terrible place and I don’t know how I end up here so often.

I love my life and I’m very blessed but let’s be real it’s not always rainbows and butterflies. Some days washing dishes and folding clothes doesn’t make me smile and the endless toy trails don’t warm my heart. 😂

Something tells me I’m not the only one frequenting this aweful place but who could tell from all the happy go lucky perfectly accessorized photos we all post on social media, which I’m totally guilty of doing.

Small things bring me back though like my husband thinking I’m so awesome because I remembered to pick up his Splenda or when I’m pretending to still be sleeping and Timmy tip toes over and kisses my cheek or how Grace’s eyes light up at the sight of a bunny, real, stuffed, on TV doesn’t matter that chick is in love. How Timmy  wants to wake up Grace in the morning because apparently “he’s always loved her.” How Grace tucks in her baby at night. And right now how both kids are in a fort that they built together and all I hear is the sound of their fake power tools and laughing and I’m just sitting here sipping my tea. So peaceful.

The easiest way back though is cracking open that bible. Works everytime.

Boys..

The stuff Timmy does these days is so shocking to me that I don’t even know what to say to him.

Yesterday he was in the tub and tells me he’s making me a cake {the boy is always cooking for me 😝}. Suddenly I was wondering how he turned the water in the bowl yellow. Yup he peed in it. So gross yet he thinks it’s a brilliant idea.

Today he’s yelling mom come here. I knew they were being too quiet but no one was crying sooo. Well I go to see what he’s so proud to show me. He has his hulk blow up glove on one hand and a cowboy gun in the other. Says look mom! Punches Grace with the glove and then shoots her. This is not the sweet boy I know lives here somewhere.

We don’t watch violent shows at all. Turns out these Disney movies aren’t the warm fuzzy feeling movies I remember. I’m over here trying to figure where my son learned to shoot things and then remembered we watched Bambi and Poccahontus recently. That’s as violent as it gets in this house.

I guess boys are gonna be boys.

Spelling ✅

Yay!! Timmy can spell and write his name! I’m so proud and amazed. This is one of the perks to homeschooling down the road because I know that I will be there when they master something new and celebrate with them.
