Zoo Field Trip

We love Brevard Zoo. It is the best but man it is a drive. Takes us about an hour to get there. Through our homeschool group it was only $7 to go so it was worth it.

I have clearly not mastered getting all three kids to look at the camera.

This place has an indoor part where the kids can pretend to be the vet. They have an X-ray machine and a microscope set up. They also have a huge area covered in sand where kids can dig for bones and solve the mystery of which animal the bones belong to.

Even better is their train ride. It actually goes into an animal enclosure. Like it blows my mind that this sort of thing still exists. You get to see ostrich and oryx and they walk riiiiight up to you. So cool.

Lydia was just the happiest little thing checking out the giraffes. This zoo lets you hand feed the giraffes lettuce and sweet potatoes.

My little turtles.🐢

Timmy got to touch a snake and nowww of course he wants one.
Was a very successful day and the weather was unbelievable especially for a Florida April.

Later when we got home I captured this cutie standing up and playing with her puppy.

Letter B – Bees & Butterflies

This has been a very successful homeschool week learning the Letter B.

Bees

We made some pool noodle bumble bees to fly through the air.

We drank some nectar {apple juice} through a straw like a honey bee.

We made a bee hive with some honey comb cereal.

I attempted some food art with these bumble bee Oreos and we tasted some honey.

We talked about how Gods Word is sweeter than honey and how we should be mindful of the words that we say and try to keep them sweet. Then we made these cute little bees.
We went on a honey bee field trip that was totally awesome.  The bee keeper had a bee “tv” for the kids to get and up close look.

I was so proud when the bee keeper asked if anyone knew why some honeys are different colors Timmy shot up his hand and new the right answer. Sad to say that I did not know the answer lol so I was pleasantly surprised when she said “that’s right!”

After the bee talk the kids all made seed bombs and bamboo bee homes.

Then all the kids ran around and played. I can’t say enough good things about this field trip. It was super educational for even me and really fun. She even brought different honeys for us all to taste and she had some for sale. I bought the orange blossom one..so delicious and apparently magical when it comes to colds and allergies.

The bee keeper really impressed me with her patience with the kids and her ability to teach real facts in a fun way to such a large group. There were about 25 kids there and everyone paid attention. I don’t remember her name but this is her website. https://www.hanihoneycompany.com/

Butterflies

I have always wanted to do this since I was a kid…order caterpillars and watch them turn into butterflies. So amazing. Just so happened that Memaw bought us the kit around the same time of our lesson.

Our little baby caterillars arrived in a little plastic container and 3 weeks later we set them free.

The day we let them go we painted some butterfly portraits.
Grace has come a long way in her school work this year. She is cutting and pasting all by herself and it is so amazing to watch.

She will just sit and tackle all her work by herself. She is more of a self learner. She would rather figure out her own way then for me to give her step by step instruction. Her handwriting is a huge improvement. In the beginning of this year she couldn’t even trace letters.

Timmy made a beautiful butterfly project too but I can’t find it. He’s really been focusing on learning hundreds & thousands and how to tell time. I think next we will move to money.

We are attending our year homeschool convention the end of May and I’m so excited. Next year it is official we start KINDERGARTEN! Can’t believe it. All this PreK work has paid off for sure in helping me learn what works best for my kids. Next week we are focusing on Easter & Jesus 💗

Lydia is 8 Months

This cute little beach babe is growing so fast!

Just this week it seems like her personality is really shining through. I think we may have another mini diva on our hands. This chick knows what she wants that’s for sure!

Seems like she’s learning something new everyday. Clapping hands was our biggest celebration it’s just so cute. She loves blowing raspberries and it’s especially fun with a mouth full of yogurt. She’s totally in love with food now. Anything and everything she chows down.

Its really funny how different a mom I am this time around. With Timmy you couldn’t come near him with food unless it was organic, freshly puréed and on the list of approved food according to his age. Well for one, doctors no longer give a list of food by age, its a free for all. So lucky for Lydia, whatever I’m eating so is she. We share meals and its kinda fun. Like today we went to an event with lots of desserts so she had a few licks of banana creme brûlée and a bite of a red velvet white chocolate cookie.

Her favorite food is Cheerios by far. Yogurt & bananas are close seconds.

She loves driving in her little car. She naps in her swing still and sleeps with mommy and it’s about time for that dreaded crib transition.

& not to brag but she’s pretty much obsessed with her mama. Like for real. I can’t walk by her without picking her up or if I leave the room be prepared for screaming.

And there’s 2 little teeth in that gummy smile now.

She loves books for reading and for slobbering.

Look at me Mom! Trying to stand up! Slow down sister. We are so not ready for a baby on the move between Legos & Barbie shoes this place is a mine field.

Took some pictures in Great Grandmas garden.

We took Lydia for her first dip in the pool and it was a total success. She’s a little water baby.

More of this mama’s obsessive photo taking.

This was Grace at the same age in the same bubble.

We set up a baby zone in the playroom and she loves it. She plays so nice with her toys and Timmy & Grace go in and play with her too.

Timmy was so proud to be able to hold her by himself.

This was her first park swing, clearly she’s a fan.

And sand. She wasn’t too sure about it and with her faucet drool situation the sand was all over her face.
Lydia is still wearing size 3 diapers but we have moved up another size 🙈 Her thighs tho more rolls than a bakery! Size 12 months clothes & 20 pounds of yumminess.

She loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Like obsessed. That show will stop tears dead in there tracks.

& thats about all her new adventure these past two months.

Life is about to be busy busy once this little munchkin is on the move. We are just over here trying to soak up all these sweet stages of her babyhood. We know all too well that if you blink you’ll miss it.

Airport Field Trip

I love homeschooling. I really really do. It is not easy but not once have I thought about sending my kids to school. I’ve seriously been preparing for homeschooling since Timmy was in the womb. Lol. I really feel like its one of the many blessings that God has put in my life.

We belong to a couple of co-ops who do amazing field trips. This one by far has been my favorite. Missionary Flights International is a company that partners with missionaries to fly people and supplies to Haiti & the Dominican.

They started by showing the kids a video of the needs in these 2 places. Timmy was so heartbroken by it. Just today he said he needs to get to work so he can buy more tents for the kids who have nothing.

Then they gave us a tour of an airplane. Timmy was terrified but he eventually got into it.

The pilot showed them the cockpit and let them sit in the the pilot seats.

Then they let them get in an airplane fire truck. The kids really loved this.

The last thing we did was watch planes take off and land.

How sweet is this photo. Timmy is so over protective of Grace. He had to put his arm around her be ause he didn’t want her running off.

Sweet Memories

Timmy is so sick with a stomach bug. Gracie is so sad she can’t kiss him so now they’re blowing kisses back and for to each other.

Caught Grace having a tea party with her stuffed animals.

Grace is so proud that I let her hold Lydia.

Timmy is outside on the swings and I can hear him all the way inside singing his heart out. That alone is sweet. But the cherry on top is that he’s singing, “The cross has made you flawless.” I mean louddddd super loud. Hope my neighbors enjoy the free concert.

Grace is also singing.. from the toilet. Her lyrics a tad different, “A babys gotta do what a babys gotta doooooo.” We started watching Rugrats so she must have picked that up from little Tommy. I love that show. Like I enjoy it for real. I actually prefer it to most adult shows these days.

Painting our nails together. Doesn’t get any  better than this.

This chick is tough 😂

So my Dad told me his New Years Resolution was to play more with kids. How seeet is that.

We bought Sea World passes for our friends and made these hand print party animals.

Look closely and you will see a lizard resting on a blanket all tucked in after his nice warm bath. My son is the ultimate lizard lover.

Happy 1/2 Birthday Baby Girl

The more babies you have the faster they grow. My sweet baby is 6 months! I’m already planning her 1st birthday. She is such a blessing. She is the happiest baby ever & boy does she love her mama.

Its like we are still one body. Literally she wants to be attached to me in someway all day. Right now she has her hand over my face. And I think by your third kid you just don’t mind because you know how fast they grow.

Lydia is 18 pounds 27.5 inches. She’s wearing 9 months clothing and size 3 diapers. No teeth yet & praise Jesus because she is a biter. She’s still nursing like a champ. I’m scared for teeth because her gums inflict enough pain already.

She’s sitting up by herself. She’s attempting crawling but so far she only goes in reverse. Slow down missy!

She says mama & dada ❤️

She blows kisses ❤️❤️

So far she’s tasted bananas, zucchini, applesauce and oatmeal.

I love taking pictures of her. She smiles with her whole being especially her eyes.

She scratches to fall asleep, could be the sheet or my arm, she doesn’t care. Ouch!

Her baby babble is so sweet. She already loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She naps in her swing and sleeps snuggled up to mommy at night. I love it. I remember how I slept with Timmy & Gracie and I just can’t believe those days are gone.

Timmy & Gracie just adore her. Its hard to keep them off of her. Gracie sings her songs  about how they are best friends that makes my heart burst. Timmy comes in our room every morning and greets her with a good morning sweetie pie. I have the sweetest kids.

Timmy is such a proud big brother. Last night he prayed that I would have 2 more baby BOYS. He really wants a brother.

Here are the cutest mini SnowWhites you’ve ever seen!

So if Lydia is 6 months that means Grace is 3 1/2. I hope these two enjoy sharing a birthday 😬 I’m excited about it.

I think I am settled on a You are my Sunshine theme for Lydia’s first birthday party. For Grace I’m going to do Build-a-Bear party and for her present I want to take her to Disney for the Bippity Boppity Boutique experience. This way this first year of sharing a birthday is extra special.

This is Lydia and Grace at the same age.

The Lord has truly blessed me with these babies. Lydia really is an angel straight from His hands to mine. We love her so much and I am so honored to be her mommy.

Sweet Memories

Timmy just asked Tim to put his email in the mailbox 😂 its a letter in an envelope addressed to Max. It says come here now.

Timmy set up a store. Tim went shopping but he had no cash. Timmy said he will take a check. Tim put a check mark on a piece of paper. If that worked in real life we’d be RICH!

Grace strolling her babies next to me strolling my Lydia.

Timmy coolest kid on a bike. He rides really fast then pulls his legs up and coasts. Then he rode backwards.

Lydia blows kisses. Its so stinkin cute.

Grace woke me up screaming bloody murder at 2:30 am. So i go running in. Shes explains to me that her blanket is not square and its making her toes cold. Oh. My. Gukvdtyjnkkyfxss. I’ve raised an ultimate princess. To her future husband, I am sorry. She’s lucky she’s so cute.

Lydia only wants me 24/7. This is not an exaggeration it is a fact. When somone ekse holds her this is the result.

And if my house could clean its self I’d hold her forever & ever but we are running low on clothes so either we order some more online or i get to washing.

When you make yourself a snack, measure it out because you’re on Weight Watchers trying to find your old body buried deep down & then this… It only took her seconds to lick all the whip cream.

Oh this baby I just want to snuggle & take her picture all day.

You see her sleeping right here. Look while it lasts because in 5 seconds she’ll be trying to sniff me out and when she figures out I snuck out of bed she will be screaming. It’s like we are still one body 😂 Isn’t she cute tho?!?!

“Mommy I dont have boobies.” No Grace no you dont. “But i just had a baby how will I feed her?”

Grace says shes inviting Madison and Denver to her wedding.

When Grace grows up she’s going to be a princess and I can live in her castle. #retirementplan

New Years Eve 2016

Yes this house is hoppin on New Years Eve but the kid version. We invite our kids friends over for New Years Eve every year. Its more my style. I actually hate this holiday. It has always made me worry now that all my siblings are grown and doing their own thing. But praise Jesus everyone stayed home this year.

Over here the kids had a blast. They just ran around crazy playing with all theor new christmas toys. I had them decorate cupcakes and I made hot chocolate from scratch with my moms recipe. I even added cold whip cream shaped stars on top. Best thing you’ve ever tasted.

Timmy wanted to dress up fancy he said. So I dressed up the whole crew.

Me, Lydia & Daddy made it to midnight and I made all my calls to my family. Them it was time for this party to end.

Timmy is 5

This was an emotional birthday. I’m sure it is for most moms. I really do have the sweetest little boy tho. I just want to keep him this way forever. I hate to think that the days are coming faster than I can handle and that this little boy who loves me with all his heart and soul will one day be a teenager and not want to snuggle on the couch and give nose kisses or play the I love you all day every day game where basically we see who can say it the most times.

He’s such a lover of everything. The kind of kid who sees an ant and wants to keep it for a pet. His bedroom is a reptile sanctuary. His favorite things include lizard catching, drawing, magic tricks, robots, trains, cars, building things, camping (& he’s never even been), basketball, swinging super high and jumping off and board games. Today he built the “robot 3000” and it was a box with pencils for arms and a watch for eyes. The boy can work magic with tape. Tape & glue do not last in this house.

He loves his sisters so much. He begs to hold Lydia every chance he gets. And Grace is his partner in crime. Those two are so insync. They have just recently reached that “shes touching me” stage and boy does it make for great car rides. Mmmm. I try to keep my calm tho. I read somewhere that even tho we hear all the fighting they don’t. They never remember the fighting, its all bonding to them.

Thing hes not a fan of.. The dark, bedtime, going to the bathroom alone, scary movies which include Snow White, and Aunt Ericas robot vacuum.

For his birthday we surprised him and took him to SeaWorld.

We had dinner with Shamu & Timmy alwaysss has a question.

We really had a beautiful time. Their Christmas display was amazing. They have a Nativity show told by the animals that is out of this world.

The next morning Timmy made me pancakes. During holiday time I try to be artistic with their food and he really loves it so he made me pamcakes that look like me. Check out those strawberry jam lips!

For his birthday gifts we bought him an art set and a ninja turtle zippy sack {thanks nickjr for all the as seen on tv ads}

Our elves Chippy & Twinkle Star made him an elf size cake for breakfast.

Then we had a joint birthday party with Addy. Aunt Jessica made him the ultimate lizard birthday cake and there was a bounce house, ballon maker and a face painter. So much fun!
